ENHANCED ATHLETES

    Harm reduction for PED users.

Telehealth designed around the realities of enhanced training. Comprehensive bloodwork, protocol review and harm-reduction monitoring — from clinicians who understand performance.

Important: Enhanced Men does not prescribe, supply, source, or condone the use of anabolic-androgenic steroids or any other performance-enhancing substance not approved for medical use in New Zealand. Our role is discouragement from use, general health consults, harm reduction, bloodwork if indicated, primary prevention prescriptions if indicated — not supply. Health Risks of Unmonitored PED Use

Without regular blood work and medical supervision, PED use can silently damage multiple organ systems. Early detection is key to preventing irreversible harm.

    Cardiovascular

    • Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH)
    • Elevated blood pressure
    • Dyslipidaemia — suppressed HDL, elevated LDL
    • Increased risk of MI and stroke
    • Polycythaemia (thickened blood)

    Hepatic (Liver)

    • Elevated liver enzymes (AST/ALT)
    • Cholestasis from oral compounds
    • Peliosis hepatis (rare but serious)
    • Drug-induced liver injury (DILI)

    Haematological

    • Elevated haematocrit & haemoglobin
    • Increased blood viscosity
    • Thromboembolic events (DVT, PE)
    • Suppressed immune function

    Neuropsychiatric

    • Mood instability and irritability
    • Anxiety and depressive episodes
    • Insomnia and sleep disruption
    • Dependency and withdrawal syndrome

    Endocrine & Reproductive

    • HPG axis suppression
    • Testicular atrophy
    • Infertility / azoospermia
    • Oestrogen-related side effects (gynaecomastia)
    • Adrenal insufficiency (with certain compounds)

    Renal & Metabolic

    • Elevated creatinine and reduced eGFR
    • Insulin resistance and glucose dysregulation
    • Electrolyte imbalances
    • Rhabdomyolysis risk (with extreme training loads)
