LOW TESTOSTERONE ASSESSMENT
Find out properly. A NZ doctor, a full blood panel, and a straight answer either way — with a plan you can act on. $149, by video, anywhere in New Zealand.
Tick what applies. Three or more is worth investigating — though these symptoms have several possible causes, and that's exactly the point of testing rather than guessing.
Want a score rather than a hunch? Take the AMS self-check — 17 questions, free, anonymous, three minutes.
Only one of them is treated with testosterone. Working out which one you're dealing with is the whole job — and it takes bloods, not a symptom list.
A genuine failure of the testes to produce testosterone — confirmed on a repeat morning sample with a raised LH and FSH. This is the group that meets the criteria for treatment, and where testosterone is Pharmac-funded.
Testosterone is made largely during sleep. Chronic short sleep and untreated sleep apnoea both suppress it — and both produce exactly the symptoms men attribute to low T. Treating the sleep often lifts the level without any prescription.
Heavy training with under-eating suppresses the hormonal axis; so does carrying significant excess body fat, which converts testosterone to oestrogen. Both are reversible, and both change the numbers within months.
Depression, chronic stress, opioids, some antidepressants and heavy alcohol all lower testosterone or mimic low-T symptoms. Getting this right matters — testosterone will not fix a problem it did not cause.
Pick a weekend slot. Everything is telehealth, anywhere in New Zealand — no GP referral needed.
A proper 30-minute conversation about your symptoms and the things that move testosterone.
A morning panel (7–11am, fasting) at your local collection centre. If the first is below range, a confirmatory second sample about four weeks later.
Results reviewed and explained, with a written plan — treatment if you meet criteria, a different plan if you don't.
Straight up, before you book
Most men who come in convinced their testosterone is low turn out to have normal levels. That is a real result, not a wasted consult — it means the thing making you feel flat is something else, and something else is usually more fixable than you'd think. What you're buying is a proper answer and a plan, not a prescription. If you do meet the criteria for testosterone deficiency, treatment is funded and we'll start it. Sometimes the answer is no — and we tell you straight.
Blood tests requested by a doctor are collected under the publicly funded pathway for patients eligible for publicly funded healthcare in New Zealand. Testosterone is Pharmac-funded once a diagnosis of hypogonadism is confirmed. Consultation fees don't guarantee a prescription — treatment decisions are clinical ones, made after assessment against New Zealand criteria.
Select a service and find a time that works for you. All consultations are conducted via secure telehealth video, anywhere in New Zealand.

We review your history and goals, arrange any blood tests at a local NZ lab, and, where appropriate, send prescriptions directly to your nearest pharmacy. Follow-up reviews are scheduled to track response and adjust treatment over time.
