The Norwood scale is the standard way doctors describe male pattern hair loss, from stage II (early temple recession) to stage VII (a band of hair around the back and sides). Three questions, with example photos from my own cases, give you the closest stage and the typical graft range for it. It's an estimate of a pattern, not a diagnosis.
Think about the last few years, not the last few weeks. The photos are examples of each pattern, not a test.
